Meet Lauren | ENP Newborns

Lauren’s newborn session was so incredibly peaceful and relaxing! She was such an angel—I think she slept for most of her session, and when she was awake, she just peacefully looked around and even gave us a few smiles! And I cannot say enough about her bright eyes and all that dark hair! Lauren, her mom and her dad were so much fun to work with—at newborn sessions, I love getting to know my clients better… even those I already know!

One thing I need to mention about newborn sessions—and particularly Lauren’s newborn session—is that she was almost a month old when I photogrpahed her. I have parents of babies around this age ask me all the time, “Is it too late to do a newborn session?” and guess what… the answer is always “It’s never too late to do a newborn session!” If you’ve got a baby, we can (and should!) do photos!

While I typically schedule sessions within the first two weeks a baby is born, that’s only because babies tend to be sleepier in their first 14 days. But this sweet girl snuggled up and drifted off to sleep for most of the time we shot.

The Heinecke family chose to do their newborn photo session at the Emily Nix Photography studios in downtown Seward, Nebraska. This is my "home base" for studio sessions, and I love being able to capture maternity, newborn sessions, milestone sessions for babies and children, families, and engagement/bridal portraits in this space.
