Late Winter Nebraska Maternity Session | In Studio & Outdoors

Sometimes, a Nebraska winter day just works out for the best! It's not usual to be able to go outside and take maternity photos in February or March, but we were able to for Abbey and Michael's Seward, Nebraska, maternity photoshoot.

We started our session indoors at the Emily Nix Photography studio in downtown Seward, Nebraska. The bright white backdrop was perfect for a crisp, clean look. The studio is also a wonderful place to shoot year-round—no worries about being too hot or too cold! You can learn more about the bright, natural light studio here. This is my "home base" for studio sessions, and I love being able to capture maternity, newborn sessions, milestone sessions for babies and children, families, and engagement/bridal portraits in this space.

Afterward, we went to a local park to take advantageous of the sunny winter day. Despite the fact that it was winter, we had a beautiful neutral backdrop to get some fun photos commemorating this special time in Abbey and Michael's life before Baby Girl arrives. This sweet family is part of my First Year Experience membership, which means in addition to their maternity session, they will also have a newborn session, milestone session, and first birthday. This guarantees they'll be able to have their growing family's memories photographed, and they get priority scheduling for all of their sessions.
