Maggie & AJ | Engaged in Lincoln, Nebraska

Before her boyfriend AJ was deployed, Maggie contacted me requesting a couples session in Lincoln, Nebraska, and we scheduled something immediately. We met out at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, and we got the most beautiful night for portraits—sometimes, Lincoln in April can be hit or miss, but on this night, it was absolutely gorgeous!

I had a special reason to be excited for this session... Maggie is my youngest cousin! She and I are the "bookends" in our family, and seeing her grow up from a goofy kid, to high-achieving high schooler, through college, and now as an amazing young woman has been the most fun. I'm so thankful for our friendship as adults, and I was excited to spend some time photographing her and AJ. Imagine how much more excited I was when I found out AJ proposed to her! It made this session even more meaningful.

I'm now looking forward to photographing their wedding next July! Congrats, you two!
