Hayden | In-Studio Nebraska Newborn Session
Oh, sweet boy, you are so loved! Hayden, his big brothers, and his parents visited my studio in October, and it was a joy to capture the five of them, together at last. Hayden's little life is a testimony to the goodness of God, and it was an honor to be able to photograph him! He is so loved by his big brothers—take a peek at some of the shots below (that one of him and his biggest bro, Mason, is one of my absolute favorites!).
One of my favorite aspects of this family's Nebraska newborn session is how mom and dad, Ciara and Kyle, let their sweet boys be kids—sometimes getting preschoolers to smile can be a challenge, can't it?! Instead of fretting about it, they let me capture some silly faces and funny expressions that I think are a perfect nod to how their boys really are at this age. Of course, we got the sweet, smiling at the camera photos, too, but there's just something about the candids that I really love and appreciate. (Fun fact: I also photographed big brother Rowan's newborn photos, so it was especially an honor to be asked to photograph baby Hayden.)
At the end of our session, I took a few minutes to take photograph some photos of Hayden in black and white. This is always one of my favorite times in a session, where I can slow down and take notice of the little things that your newborn will soon grow out of. The black and white makes it timeless, and I love it so much! Thank you so much, Soflin family, for visiting the studio and for allowing me to photograph your family!
The Soflin family chose to be photographed at the Emily Nix Photography studios in downtown Seward, Nebraska. This is my "home base" for studio sessions, and I love being able to capture maternity, newborn sessions, milestone sessions for babies and children, families, and engagement/bridal portraits in this space. The studio is a quick 25-minute drive from Lincoln, and it's worth it to have a beautiful, bright space for your newborn.
